The Performance
Johnny’s show is completely self-contained, with his own sound system and lights and can be tailored to fit any venue.
In a typical three-hour performance, the audience is treated firstly to 45 minutes of hip-swivelling raw-sounding fifties hits, as Johnny gyrates through the songs that introduced Elvis as the phenomenon that he was. From ‘Blue Moon of Kentucky’ (1954) to ‘Fool such as I’ (1959), and everything in between!
This is followed by a selection of Elvis' hits from the sixties, as Johnny, in costumes such as the GI uniform, speedway jacket or the '68 special black leathers, takes us on a journey from Elvis' exit from the US army to his triumphant return in front of a live audience in the NBC '68 Special. From ballads such as ‘Are you lonesome tonight’ and ‘Can’t help falling in love’ to the harder-sounding ‘Mess of Blues’ and ‘Little Sister’ Johnny goes through them all!
If you can catch your breath after that, you are treated to an hour of Elvis' most recognisable hits from his Vegas era. Wearing one of a selection of authentic replica Elvis jumpsuits, Johnny powers his way through such memorable tracks as 'In the Ghetto', 'Suspicious Minds' and, of course, 'American Trilogy'.
